On April 14, 2023, the Greater Toronto Area Alumnae Chapter celebrated its 5th year of being chartered in Toronto!
We celebrated this auspicious milestone on Saturday, May 6 with a Midwest Region service project in the morning. Then in the evening, we enjoyed a dinner and dance!
Thank you to all of the members of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., and thank you also to all of our friends, family, and local community members who came out to support us over that weekend.
With your help on Saturday morning, we were able to impact the lives of just over 400 people in the community.
As Deltas do, we coordinated multiple service projects:
- We supported two (2) Toronto District School Board schools by purchasing books that the schools are in need of.
- We assembled hygiene kits for patients of Sick Kids Hospital
- We de-branded clothing supplied by Brands for Canada that will be given to shelters for donation to women, children, and newcomers.
When the work was completed, the celebrations ensued!
