DELTA DAYS AT QUEENS PARK “Forward with Fortitude – Get InspiRED and Get Involved”
DELTA DAYS at Queen’s Park is a rallying call to engage in political and social action, and it was a packed week of events from May 28th- 30th with in-person and virtual options to participate.
Day One of Delta Days at Queen’s Park focused on political advocacy and education as host Velma Morgan, Chair, Operation Black Vote Canada, educator, and community champion of gender and cultural diversity, challenged us to secure our Seat at the Table and increase our engagement in our local, provincial, and federal political processes.
Day Two of Delta Days at Queen’s Park focused on Black food security and sovereignty. We learned about food literacy, community healing, food and social justice, and environmental stewardship through The Black Food Sovereignty Movement.
The final day of Delta Days at Queen’s Park saw members of the chapter visiting Queen’s Park, the site of the Ontario Legislative Building, taking a tour of the building and meeting with MPPs.
