Our chapter understands how important it is to work closely with the youth in our community. In February, we conducted 2 workshops with youth from Trust 15 (http://www.trust15.com/) where we discussed the importance of being and feeling safe in platonic and romantic relationships.
Our dynamic presenters were Crystal D. Turner, Founder of, We Refuse (https://www.werefuse.org/) a gun violence support and advocate group; and Chris Langford, a Toronto Police Officer.
Both speakers brought their personal experiences to the presentation, and the youth participants engaged in lively discussions during the questions and answers period.
